What this is

Answering an incoming conversation is part of your plan. Starting one is not, because a message you send first is a message a carrier or Meta bills us for. Broadcast credits are how that cost is passed through.

They are priced at pass-through, not at a markup — a credit is a message. You spend them on campaigns, follow-up sequences, order updates, appointment reminders: anything the system sends outward rather than in reply.

Credits are drawn down as messages go out, so what a campaign costs is a number you can work out before you send it rather than read on an invoice afterwards.

When people turn this on

Sending a campaign to a segment

Buy enough credits for the list, send, and see exactly what it cost — before the invoice rather than after it.

Order and delivery updates

A shop sending 'dispatched' and 'out for delivery' messages needs a predictable per-message cost more than it needs a monthly bundle.

Appointment reminders

Clinics and services that remind every booking the day before send steadily rather than in bursts, and credits match that shape.

Re-engaging a cold list

Reaching people outside the 24-hour window means template messages, which is exactly what credits are for.

Questions people ask

Do replies cost credits?

No. Only messages you send first. Once a customer replies, the conversation runs on your plan like any other.

Why is this not just included?

Because the cost is genuinely per message and set by Meta and the carriers. Bundling it would mean charging the businesses that send little to subsidise the ones that send a lot.

Add it when you need it

Switch it on from your billing page — it takes effect immediately and comes off the same way.
